This article lists some of the supported Multimedia formats for creating Themes using Carbide.ui

Support for Images

When creating a theme images are the content type you will work with most often. A theme can specify a variety of images and animations used for full screen backgrounds, highlight images, standard menu icons, and other miscellaneous images.

Themes use two styles of images, static images and animations.

*Static images can be either bitmaps or SVG images.

*Animation fall into two broad categories, those you can create in Carbide.ui and those that you need an external tool to create.

*Using external tools you can create animations of GIF, animated SVG or Adobe FlashLite format.

Carbide.ui displays BMP, WBMP, JPG, GIF, M3G, and (for screen savers and wallpapers) SVG and Flash, and (for wallpapers) ZIP archives of image files.

Specific devices can support different sets of image content types.

Support for Audio

When creating audio themes you may have to make use of different audio formats. The Sounds option in Carbide.ui theme allows you to customize various ringtone sounds on a handset.

Say Series 40 themes recognizes the file extensions for AAC, AMR, AWB, MIDI, MP3, and MP4, type of audio content.
