As I have gained much experience developing applications for Nokia Platform I could also share it now.

The Next Great Idea - Catch Your Friends at one Touch of Your Finger This is now just not an Idea it becomes now fully working application made by me in Python for S60 Nokia Phones. I have tested it S60 Second Edition FP3 Emulator initially and next to phone. I was successfully run and my idea becomes today’s reality and it is with me only. Let’s See the Application that still not exist in the world for sure.

The idea ‘K@tchUp’ is basically meant to know ‘Where is my pal?’ i.e. to catch up with my friends, or rather I should say real world friends. Today people seem to be more busy making virtual friends on the various social networking websites which have flooded out on the internet in the past few years. The main objective of this application is that if we want to know whom of my friends are in the region where i am standing. When user starts the application for the first time user’s contacts in the phonebook would be uploaded on a web server. Now the next thing it would do is send the cell ID of the area in which the user present will be send to the web server. Now if the user wants to view which of his friends are present in the near by area, the application would compare the user’s contact numbers (previously uploaded) on the server with the numbers which are classified under the same cell ID and thus the matching numbers would be displayed to the user. And ultimately you can catch your friends at touch of my first ever Location Based Application that will change the users Life.

The Programming was done totally in the Python Language. The Web Server side Programming was done in PHP Language. The protocol for wireless communication was done using http. The code will be provided only on the request by Nokia’s Senior Developer working in Nokia anywhere in the world. Application Implementation and Demonstration will be also provides as said request.

Experience -- Working on Nokia Platform

I am working on Nokia platform since so many times. Especially I would like to work in Nokia’s Python for series 60 open source platform. I have made so many applications in python and I feel it very easy to use for the new comers in mobile application development. It’s providing the rapid application development. It very much easy to debug and find or fix the errors. I am proud of myself that I am working on Nokia platform. I try so many other platforms but they limit me. While Nokia dose not limit me working at any extent.

During the application development Nokia provides me easy to use software and components to connect to computer or transferring my application to computer or from computer from even any place. Nokia platform provides the flexibility, independence, ease, and speed. Nokia Platform is like basic need, without that we could do anything.

I greatly want to thank Forum Nokia to provide amazing and I can say mind blowing facilities to the developers like me. I really appreciate the working of Remote Device Access from anywhere in the world. First time I really surprised that I could access the wide range of Nokia Phones from my house for my testing purpose. It is really a greatest testing mechanism of applications provided by Forum Nokia for great developers like me and others. I guarantee that there is no such application in the world that provides such a testing mechanism I can say it is a starting of Grid Computing.
