Dapper

From Forum Nokia Wiki

Dapper (Data Mapper)

Dapper is a web based service that allows developers to easily capture live data from any web site and create a feed that can be automatically transformed into a a variety of output formats, (e.g. XML, RSS, JSON, CSV, a universal widget, Netvibes module, Google Gadget) suitable for use on any platform, including mobile. Dapper also enables the creation of an API from any website which then can be used to create more complex applications (i.e. mash-ups) all through a simple, web-based application. Both the content and APIs are robust enough to withstand to modifications to the site, or notify the developer if it breaks.

Upon creation of an API, or "Dapp," the Dapp is published to the community for everyone to use, unless the author deems it private. Dapps created by the community are searchable from the dapper.net homepage and ranked by frequency of use.
