EPOC

EPOC is an operating system for mobile devices developed by Psion. The first variant of EPOC (EPOC16) appeared in late 1980s had a 16-bit architecture. EPOC32 is a 32-bit variant. EPOC32 has been renamed to Symbian OS in 1998 and Symbian was established as an independent company owned by Psion and Ericsson, Nokia and Motorola.
