FN.com Blog FAQ
From Forum Nokia Wiki
Q1: What kinds of feeds are provided?
RSS 0.9, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds are available. The users can subscribe to RSS using the links on the pages, Different sub feeds
Q2: What’s the maximum resource (image, video, etc.) file size?
100 MB.
Q3: I should be logged in to Forum Nokia, but my user name is not shown on the screen?
Currently Forum Nokia sign-on service (SSO hereafter) allows you to log on to Forum Nokia services for longer periods than just for the current browser session (this can be achieved by clicking the “Remember me” box while logging on to Forum Nokia.
In some cases it is possible that the Forum Nokia Blogs pages do not show your user name at the top-right corner even though your computer is still registered at the SSO server as being logged in – instead the Login link is shown. When you then click the Login link at the top-right corner, you end up to the same page (without going through the Forum Nokia log on process) and now your user name is shown in the corner instead.
From user experience point-of-view, this is not optimal, but for the time being the SSO works this way. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Q4: What does “deleting a blog entry” mean?
Deleting the entry does not remove the entry from the server. The entry is still shown as an entry in the editor tools and you can still choose the entry for further editing. However the entry is no longer visible for the readers.
'Q5: Which video formats are supported
Flash Video (FLV), including services using that format (like YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, iFilm, Goear, Grouper, or dailymotion)
Q6: How to create a front image for the video player?
The system automatically looks for a JPEG image with the same file name than the FLV (Flash Video file) video – of course with .jpg extension instead of .flv extension. If such image is found on the server, the image is shown in the player window, otherwise the video player box on the blog entry is shown as black.
Q7: I uploaded a JPEG image on the server along the FLV video, but the player is still black?
Double check the file names. It is possible that someone else has uploaded a file to the server with exactly the same name. In order to avoid duplicate names on the server, the upload process automatically adds a resource id number in front of the file name. If either the FLV or JPG file seems to have an unfamiliar number in front of the real name, remove the existing files and upload the files back to the server after renaming them.
