Flash Lite is the mobile version of Flash technology from Adobe. Flash Lite is the runtime specifically optimized for mobile phones and consumer electronic devices.
Both S60 and Series 40 platforms support Flash Lite technology. There are some differences between the implementations and supported versions on the two platforms. The situation is summarized below.
For example, S60 3rd Edition currently can run Flash Lite 1.1 content in Standalone mode and inside the WAP browser. So you can run an application or a game in full screen mode or view it in the WAP browser as an embedded object. On the other hand, Series 40 3rd Edition supports Flash Lite 1.1 content as standalone, wallpapers, screen saver, and Sub-LCD.
To create Flash Lite content you can use Adobe Flash Professional 8 or the Flash CS3. If you want to create Flash Lite 3.0 content, you need to use CS3.
