Introduction

The article shows how to create a WidSets widget even if you don’t know anything about WidSets mobile application development. However you may not be able to customize application as you can in Nokia S60 widget. All you need to do is to first of download the WidSets application in your mobile from WidSets.com. I advise to register yourself first if you haven’t.

The next step is to open the application on your mobile phone. It might take bit more time for first time loading your WidSets DashBoard. The DashBoard is initially loaded with default widgets such as AccuWeather , PushMail, HelloWorld, Clock, Library, etc.

Now to create a new widget you need to first of find out the URL of the website from which you will receive feeds for your widget. Now follow with the images given below.

Step-1

In the WidSets application on your mobile phone go to the library widget on your dashboard.
Click on the Create new widget to create it.

Step-2

This is a very important step. Enter the feed or URL of the website from which you want to receive contents/updates for the widget.
Then Click Continue for the next step.

As an example we are creating the WidGet which will keep us updated with Forum Nokia WiKi.
Hence we give the URL as wiki.forum.nokia.com
Make sure the website does provide feeds otherwise the WidGet might not be created.

Step-3

If the URL is valid then the next page will show the available feeds related with the site.
For our example we are getting the result as in image below.
To proceed to next step select the intended feed.

Step-4

In this final stage, you can choose the theme of the widget to appear on your dashboard.
Create the widget by selecting the appropriate theme.
If everything is valid then you will receive the message that the widget has been created and added to your dashboard.

WidGet

After some time the widget will the loaded on your dashboard at the rightmost position. The widget is created and it will allow you to be updated with the activities on the Forum Nokia WiKi. Whenever a new article will be added or any change appears on the pge it will instantly appear on your widget.

In the setting menu of the WidGet you will be allowed to choose the type of alert you can ahve to be alerted with change in the WiKi page.

This is how you can create a WidSets DashBoard WidGet without any programming work. However you can modify your widget from the widsets.com
