Information regarding video playback and streaming in 3rd edition devices

From Forum Nokia Wiki

In 3rd edition and 3rd edition Feature pack1 devices, the video playback and streaming will be taken care by RealOnePlayer and it uses ROP plugin for its underlying engine implementation. So when video playback/streaming is done using CVideoPlayerUtility (or) CDocumentHandler APIs, the RealPlayer will be utilised by default.

But in 3rd edition feature pack2 platform, the video playback/streaming implementation is slightly different from 3.0 and 3.1 platform. The video player will be the same RealOne player, where as the underlying ROP engine implementation has been replaced by Helix DNA client.

However there will not be any difference externally when using either CVideoPlayerUtility (or) CDocumentHandler for video playback/RTSP streaming purpose, as the same RealOneplayer will be used externally by default, while the playback part will be taken care by the Helix DNA client beneath the player.
