Upgraded MIDlets do not work after a power cycle.
Description
After the Java MIDlet version is upgraded, it will not start after the device is rebooted. The problem applies only to Java applications that are upgraded to the memory card.
How to reproduce
- Install a MIDlet to the memory card using FileBrowser.
- Launch the MIDlet.
- Close the MIDlet.
- Reboot the device.
- Upgrade the MIDlet to the memory card using FileBrowser.
- Launch the MIDlet.
- Close the MIDlet.
- Reboot the device.
- Launch the MIDlet.
- Expected outcome: the MIDlet is launched.
- Actual outcome: the MIDlet is not launched.
Solution
This is fixed in newer software releases.
