Description

Orientation switching from portait to landscape and vice versa results in low performance between the orientation switch for 2D and 3D Java applications. This means that the execution of the Java application appears delayed on the screen and intermediate graphic frames are shown between the switches.

How to reproduce

Download, for example, the MIDP: Scalable 2D Vector Graphics Example available on Forum Nokia.

1. Install the application and launch the SvgAnimator application.

2. Switch the orientation mode from portait to landscape and from landscape to portrait.

Solution

This issue is expected to be fixed in future S60 5th Edition devices.
