| Detailed description | As a change to the S60 3rd Edition and S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 capability requirements, public-side MTM components no longer require ALL -TCB capabilities. On S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2, the required capability set is: NetworkServices, LocalServices, ReadUserData, WriteUserData, UserEnvironment, NetworkControl, ReadDeviceData, and WriteDeviceData Public-side MTM components include Client MTM, UI MTM, and UI Data MTM. A "private"-side MTM component, that is, a server MTM, requires capabilities equal to the messaging server. A 3rd party server-side MTM component must have exactly these capabilities: ReadDeviceData, WriteDeviceData, ProtServ, NetworkControl, NetworkServices, LocalServices, ReadUserData, and WriteUserData. Because of the heavy capability requirements, any MTM implementation has to go through the Symbian Signed process and get manufacturer approval. | |
