There are problems streaming Live TV broadcast from the Helix DNA 10 Producer which uses the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP).
Nokia N73 firmware updates
Description
The Nokia N73 may need a firmware update to view Live TV, continuous video streaming using an on mobile phone application. Java ™ Platform, Micro Edition versions by all suppliers appear affected. The symptom is that the video starts in a window, and then a second later stops with a Media Event error.
Solution
The solution was found to be to upgrade the mobile phone firmware. The current firmware version is displayed by typing the following command on the mobile phone keypad.
"*#0000#"
The old firmware version was found to be
Version 2.0628.0.0.1 10-07-2006 RM-133 Nokia N73(1)
This was updated using the Nokia support Web site
Now upgraded to (New firmware Internet Edition)
V 3.0638.0.0.43 30-10-2006 RM-133 Nokia N73(14)
The new models are believed to work, especially those with N73 Music Edition version.
Some S60 3rd Edition video from the SDK examples failed and with the new firmware these examples work properly now.
Nokia N80 issue
Description
Reports have been sent to Forum Nokia that the Nokia N80 displays similar problems as the Nokia N73.
Solution
The solution is probably to upgrade the firmware as described above. However, there are no reports of which version of firmware may be causing this problem.
