1. RDA system requirements:
When you login to RDA you may encounter the following screen if your web browser does not meet requirements of of RPM or it is incorrectly recognized:
Note: Java Web Start plug-in is not correctly detected when using Safari browser, so you may enable the check box and press Proceed.
Currently RDA supports the following browsers: Firefox v2+, Internet Explorer v7+, Opera v9.6+ or Safari v3+.
2. Starting Dev UI
The RDA Dev UI uses Java Web-start technology. This means that the application is running downloaded to your computer, where it then runs locally.
Java Web-start is usually included in the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). If DevUI does not start on your computer, install the latest JRE from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads .
3. Connecting to the server
By default DevUI connects to the RPM server host on TCP port 1200. If you are not able to connect to the server please ask your system administrator to allow outgoing connections to it on TCP ports 80 and 1200.
Also make sure that Java Web Start is using the internet connection settings from your default browser.

However if you are behind a proxy server, you may need to define your proxy address here. In this case also ensure that the proxy is able to tunnel the traffic to RDA server.
