Overview

Carbide.c++ Express includes all the necessary tools for building applications for the emulator. By default, the build process can be done only from within the Carbide IDE. Additional steps are required in order to build projects from the command line for the emulator.

Description

Follow these steps to make the required changes to the system environment:
Locate and run env_update.exe, found in <Carbide.c++_Express_Installation_folder>\Carbide.c++ Express v1.1\plugins\com.nokia.carbide.cpp.support_1.1.0.5\env_switch directory.
When prompted, select the latest compiler version.
Close and restart the command prompt (if it was open).
Building for the emulator should now work also from the command line. To verify this, try the following commands:
cd <SDK_install_directory>\S60Ex\Helloworldbasic\group
bldmake bldfiles
abld build winscw udeb
epoc
