I'm very happy, that somebody here notified Gammu/Gammu+ existence and it wasn't me.
This can be much better than PC Suite (available for many OS platforms, smaller, faster, more flexible,....) and help from Nokia company could improve development a lot (especially, that even Series 40 is going to be more and more "closed" for similiar projects).
Unfortunately, Nokia company is orientated into Series 60 (this project could go into this direction too) and seems not be interested in giving support for customers using Linux or having older PC (where PC Suite is too big and too slow).
There are developers and good intentions, but there is no cooperation from company side :-( Shame - especially, that such "different" projects were often start of something excellent (see history of creating x86 inside IBM, history of VW Bentlee and other).
