You may wish to check the Google License before implementing this...

I know it's a pain in the butt but under the license terms, you may NOT ...

"10.8 use the Static Maps API other than in an implementation in a web browser;"

You can always add the browser control to your project to display the map. While I'm no legal expert, I believe that this would be ok.
